MOLES
Moles can be a major problem in gardens sports turfs and on farms. I use traditional and modern traps to swiftly remove the moles from your property.
RATS & MICE
SQUIRRELS
Squirrels whilst looking maybe more attractive than rats can cause major damage to buildings, wiring in lofts and bird feeders. They are normally removed from your property using cage traps.
RABBITS, FOXES & DEER
This group of animals are seen as pests by some and loved by others. Often for long term control, proofing of an area to exclude the pest is a best option but not always practical. Please contact me for advice and a potential visit to find an appropriate course of action.
WASPS
Wasps are most obvious from the end of June through to the autumn. We treat them mostly by injecting the entrance to the nest with powder which in turn kills the colony.
BEES
There are several different species of bee with bumble and honey being the most common. Whilst not protected by law every effort will be made to relocate them if at all possible. If this is not possible then sometimes the only option is to destroy them.
ANTS
Most commonly black ants are evident through the summer months and especially noticeable on stormy summer evenings when they swarm. Ants can invade homes businesses and gardens in search of food. A combination of spraying, using powder and gel bait often gets them under control.
FLEAS
Cat and dog fleas can live on our pets and then jump on us biting and leaving us itchy. A combination of treating pets if present, housekeeping, and a treatment of the carpets and floors with an insecticide is the best way to resolve the problem.
MOTH
Moth and their larvae will damage clothes and carpets / furnishings that contain natural fibres such as wool. They like dark undisturbed areas and can often be found under furniture which isn’t often moved. Similar to fleas in their treatment a combination of an insecticidal spray and sometimes traps with good housekeeping should resolve the problem.
STORED PRODUCT INSECTS
These can include moth, weevils, beetles and mites. Sometimes it can appear a mystery where an influx of these pests comes from but normally a close inspection can identify their source. Removing their food source / environment and treating with an insecticide can get this group of insects under control.
FLIES
Cluster flies are normally the biggest problem in this group during the spring and autumn at the beginning and end of their hibernation. They can be found around windows and in lofts and can get to quite considerable numbers. Fumigating can often get these pests under control.
BEDBUGS
These unpleasant insects will commonly live on the bed frame and mattress and be active at night when they feed on us, often leaving behind nasty bites. They can be difficult to get rid of but a very thorough spray of the mattress, bed frame, carpets and furniture can get them under control.
COCKROACHES
Found most often in commercial food premises but also in domestic kitchens where food debris and grease is allowed to build up, these pests are usually controlled with baits traps and sprays.
SPARROWS & STARLINGS
Sparrows and starlings can be a nuisance when nesting in roofs and eaves creating noise and mess, and potential mite problems. Once they have started nesting they can’t be disturbed so removing nesting material and proofing of holes must be left until the end of the nesting season.
FERAL PIGEONS.
Feral pigeons can cause a huge amount of mess and can carry diseases that are transferable to humans. Excluding them from nesting sites with spikes and nets is often a good solution.
